"Rendezvous with Handel is artist Yaron Livay's 'personal, irreverent and affectionate' homage to Handel on the 250th anniversary of "The Messiah". A series of 15 linocuts, this handsome collector's item takes a quirky, whirlwind overview of Handel's life via a few notable incidents, illustrated in vivid prints in a style somewhere between Chagall and Hoffnung. The artist himself makes an appearance in the first and last illustrations, concluding the volume with the wittily inconsequential 'That's it - my time is up. Send me the proofs.' Yaron's work has been acquired by a number of major public collections; Rendezvous with Handel offers an attractive investment..." James Grey, Musical Times, June 1993
